Punch pressing is an alternative or a complementary method to laser cutting. If punch pressing is a viable option, it can be used to lower production costs.
Punch pressing is compatible with complex items that require a lot of holes, advanced hole patterns, embossing or special forming (e.g. for hinges). This method depends on compatibility with the chosen material type and thickness.
An additional advantage with punch pressing is avoiding any side effects heat could have on the chosen material, thus minimizing post-machining of edges for welding. In case of items with a lot of holes, this production method will be more time efficient than traditional laser cutting.
In collaboration with you, we can have a special tool that is customised for your product. It takes approximately 2 weeks from conception to ordering for the first series. Prices can vary depending on the layout of the tool/die, but is usually between 5 000 – 15 000 DKK.
We have tools for making extrusion holes, enabling a thread to be produce in thin materials.
